Some issue importing Filesystem files into downloads categoryI've tried several different ways, file renames, etc to import group of PDF files into a download category from the 'import filesystem files' page. Appears to work, but files never show up, and no indication of success or failure. Site is under development at https://opusunita.us OC version 8.1.2 Linux
Any clues??? Thanks, Mike

Now, if I can only learn the ins and outs of ocP... . It'll help if somebody can advise on this 'multi-file' quick import...

The first relates to unclear status reports. You mentioned you didn't see it having done anything – but it did make a report, just in somewhere you understandably would not be looking. The second probably isn't affecting you, but affected me when I was testing on some tiny files on my server. One important thing to know is that the files you are adding must be web accessible already. The importer won't copy the files, it links download entries direct to the existing URLs. So try checking the URLs corresponding to the file paths actually work. And, if it still doesn't work, please include more info in your report, such as what settings you're importing with. Installed the two hotfixes. No Joy... Now receive: Filesystem downloads "Finished without errors. 0 downloads added. You may choose one of the followup actions below if you wish." Notice that the breadcrumb has changed from "...» Manage downloads » Filesystem downloads" to "...» Manage downloads » FTP downloads » Done" Files are accessible at https://opusunita.us/uploads/website_specific/my_downloads/mufiles/ (no index in that folder, yet.) attempting uploads/website_specific/my_downloads/mufiles/ Importing to a subcategory: -Downloads Home -Teachers only -Music Assessment Rubrics Pdf's have been fine other than on this attempt at import. Have tried several variations on filenames, thinking the extra 'dots' she used were problem, with and without "automatically create subcategory..." checked... Would have been faster to have just done 'em singly, by now, but will have others to batch down the road. Checked file permissions, uploads is 777, others in path 755 Mike

Yes! Excellent! That took care of it. Support that cares, isn't patronizing or arrogant, never sleeps, listens, and knows what they're doing. I wondered if https based had something to do with it. Had issues with another apps on another https site. Will be posting a few more 'oddities' that may have same basis. Thank you Chris. Mike

I like your site colours too. Just needs a little more work on some areas as the default blue is still showing in some spots in FF. But excellent work so far! |

The aspect that blew me away was how quickly Chris jumped on this and had a fix online. Also apparent throughout this community: the team, and users, love OCP, and respect each other... Newbie to Admin. Haven't seen this that often in other app support groups. Refreshing. Thanks for the Kind Words The daughter and her cohorts in Colorado kinda picked 'em. Anyway, she's gonna get any blame or credit. She actually likes some of that 'default' blue creeping in here and there. The important thing for them right now isn't really 'styling' but initial structure and content. Trying to get initial material available for the teachers early in the new school year.
