Difficulty adding Captcha to new Feedback page

Hi, please forgive a Newbie for getting stuck on such a basic thing.

During set up I checked that I wanted the Feedback system installed, but when I went to check it out after installation I saw to my horror there was provision to upload an attachment so I uninstalled the Feedback until I could get back to it for security reasons.

Now I have created a new page and added the Feedback block but I cannot figure out how to apply Captcha to the page, I saw the forum post mentioning to make sure Captcha is activated in Configuration which it is, I have checked the list of blocks to look for a Captcha one but can't find one.

Could anyone advise please?

Go to Admin Zone » Setup » Configuration » Site options and look for Use CAPTCHA on feedback page in the Advanced section.

In the future, just use the admin search tool in the top right of the admin page and you should be able to locate most thing very easily.

Thanks for the reply temp1024, have checked that is ticked and it is, also checked it off then back on again to make sure.
The Admin search tool is amazing and has saved me a lot of stress so far, but I have tried already typing in such things as feedback, captcha, contact, email, I even got frustrated at one stage and typed in aaarrrggghhh, I just can't seem to get the captcha to show up on the feedback page.
I also tried deleting the block and reinstalling it without success.

Could it be because I am using a custom page?

CAPTCHA's are only seen by guests. Are you maybe logged in?

If that's not it, have you tried flushing the ocPortal caches at Admin Zone » Tools » Website cleanup tools?

Most of the page elements get cached at one level or another. So if you make a change and it doesn't appear to work then flushing the caches usually fixes it.

You may also need to flush your browsers cache also, although it should not be needed to be done as often as the ocPortal cache.

I can't believe it, I had tried seeing it under a test account but never though to try as guest, I feel like such a goose wasting 2 days on this.

temp is 'Down Under' too, and probably closer to you than you think, and will probably be only too happy to take a tinny or two off you at the first opportunity!

Now that's the sort of Tinnie I prefer too, have been trying to study the book for my boat licence for ages but can't focus on book and web at same time, need to get a new book now :-(

I did too, I just rattle from all the meds I am on so need to keep away from the tinnies
