The weekly calendar is not translated days

Hey. I have a small problem. I have translated wherever it goes (I think) but the calendar day it is still in English? Does anyone have a good idea why this is so?

with kind regards / Mathias

Hi,

This probably comes from the locale, which is a bit of a pain. The operating system of the server itself handles the locale.

It is the locale language string, or in Launchpad you may see it as en-GB.

Try sv-SE.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Hey. I tried to change in ... lang/EN/global.ini but there was no change. I've tried at work and home, but with the same result. It's okay to days of the week in English.

It's tricky because it depends what locales the server has, and what it calls them. There's another technique, look into the LOCALE_SUBST string. You can do like LOCALE_SUBST=Monday=Måndag,Tuesday=tisdag,...
