ritical error - bailing out

The top-level configuration file (info.php) is either not-present or empty. This file is created upon installation, and the likely cause of this error is that Haven files have been placed, yet installation not completed. To install Haven, run the installer.
Details here are intended only for the website/system-administrator, not for regular website users.
If you are a regular website user, please let the website staff deal with this problem.

Depending on the error, and only if the website installation finished, you may need to edit the installation options (the info.php file).

I think I may have messed something up in Cpanel. HELP!!!

Did you reupload the manual installer? If so, this contains an empty version of it. You need to run the installer (install.php) to install.

That worked.  Now, how do I get my content back?  It's on the server but not on the site?

Admin >> Tools >> Import >> ocPortal site merger

But it might pay to read the tute, specifically paragraph 6.a.

Good luck!

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

Hi,

From the look of it, I would guess you were trying to upgrade? I've noticed a few posts and tickets that look like you're doing complete reinstalls. Reuploading everything is not the way to upgrade, there's actually a much simpler technique.

No, here is what happened.  I somehow accidentally deleted something somewhere on the server.  Then I started getting the above error.

I was instructed to run the installer which I did.

Now, all of my content is gone.  The backups are listed in the CMS Zone, so how can I get the content from the backup in the CMS Zone (and on the server) into the site again?

I'm certain that Chris probably has the 'zebedee moment' answer for you.

All I can see is that if, "Now all my content is gone." is how you describe it, then your 'new' database must be virginal without anything populating it.

So,
  • No content, means no current database to me.
  • How are backups listed in your CMS Zone if there is nothing in the database?
  • Where is this information on the server?

 O_o  Totally confused  O_o

Take my advice. I'm not using it!
