Can anyone give me some clue as to why my site is saying this right now:

Critical error – bailing out

Could not connect to database-server (Too many connections, mysql_connect() [<a href='http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.mysql-connect.php'>function.mysql-connect.php</a>]: Too many connections)

I have done a google search to find out what the problem is but have found no reasonable answers considering my site has like 6 members right now so how could it have too many database connections.

It's a per-server limit, not a per-site limit, have a chat with your web host.

Does that mean that there are too many sites being run on one server then?

I have at the most like 3 people on-line at one time, that's pretty scary, my site already runs like a 3 legged Tortoise as it is, typical.

I've just visited your site and found it to be pretty snappy!
Screen changes were immediate from zone to zone.
Overall, it runs faster than my own site.

Really, on average the pages take around 2-4 seconds to load for me, sometimes they can take as long as 5-8 seconds to load. People just wont wait for pages to load that long, I know I don't, if a sites pages take too long I just move on. Perhaps it's just me expecting too much.

Sorry about that we had a temporary outage but we are all good now. My cell phone woke me up at 3:45….which is kind of odd because I am usually still awake lol But I got up and got right on it.

I am not sure why your site is slow for you, all of the sites that are with me run real fast for me like in Jeans Video.

I haven't noticed any slowness at all. The "too many db connections" could be caused by search bots indexing your site since it's new.

I've had that same error a few times but it's usually only for a few minutes.

Oddly Jean my site is still fairly slow for me as you can see: 2012-03-25_0817 - Petrikuhr's library
It isn't being horribly slow as it sometimes is, sometimes I just leave my own site as it's so slow and annoyes me!

Meybe it's a browser thing Brian or maybe it's just me, I don't know, that much I do know.

Yes, so I have been told but it doesn't change that my site is slow when I use it.



Anyway, the point to this topic was the error and the speed was a curious point not the issue.
