for AdminZone Site Options

After upgrading to 9.0.8, I'm receiving a Critical Error when clicking on Config > Site Options. Same with the admin search, but it looks like that's been reported already.

This should fix it:
0001332: Missing language string errors in config options, e.g. MESSAGING_FORUM_NAME - ocPortal feature tracker

It is caused by a bug in a third party installer, but only triggered in 9.0.8 when we fixed that the errors were getting suppressed.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Thank you, but unfortunately, I'm still getting the same error when I try to go to Site Options. Same issue when I go to my Staff forum.

The admin search appears to be fixed though.

Ah, rats. I really regret fixing that language error bug and opening this pandoras box of other bugs.

Please try uploading these files…

Attachment
sources/comcode_renderer.php
» Download: comcode_renderer.php (96 Kb, 89 downloads so far)
Attachment
sources/lang.php
» Download: lang.php (46 Kb, 82 downloads so far)

(Backup the files being replaced first)

The site configuration should now only show an error at the top, which you can ignore. It shouldn't give a critical error.

 That did the trick, thank you for your hard work and prompt attention to this, Chris.

I'm not sure if you were able to tell by the error details, but it looks like it's a missing TAG_CLOUD string that had messed up the forum (it did show the error at the top like you said).

The next patch release will be soon, and hopefully sweep all these problems under the rug in one go :).

Umm that came out wrong, hahaha. I don't mean "sweep under the rug", I mean "fix".

Swept under the rug is what we had before all this.
