Recieving this critical error when I attempt to edit a board on the forums

Hello.  I've been receiving this critical error when I try to edit a board on my forums.  I am updated to version 9.0.8

Thank you in advance for your time, and I apologize if this particular issue has been addressed and I've missed it.

Hi, I am not sure any of the current bug fixes apply to your case or not but you might want to try them as some of them fix many language errors.

They are found here:

9.0.8 -

See if the more common ones related to language errors end up fixing your issue or not.

Sorry about this. All these language errors that have cropped up, it's getting embarrassing!

The easiest resolution is to put this on the bottom of lang/EN/global.ini:

MESSAGING_FORUM_NAME=Website "Contact Us" messages

This should completely fix it with zero side-effects.

I will try and get an official fix over the weekend.

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Thank you both for the responses.

Chris, that resolution worked perfectly.  Thank you.  :)
