Hello
I use the forum invision 2.1.7 and I would like to use the forum of ocportal, I wanted to know
if there was a file of basic reconversion of data in order to all all To find (member, topic post etc)
It should be also known that my forum invision is modé and that I want To find only the members
and the posts and topics.

Thank you for your assistance

you can use the import feature as I think thats what it is for.

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

Its part of the system.
GO to the admin zone.
Click on tools, then import from there you will be able to import from your forum.

you do not need the ocPortal forum for the import as it gives you options to just import the members.
But if you do wish to use the ocPortal forum instead of IPB you will need to install it with that.

I imported the members without problem. But losque I want to import the posts, topics etc etc I have this message

Code

Import of ocf_forums is skipped for now because it depends on ocf_members to be completed. You should go back and re-import this once the dependency has been satisfied.
The operation has completed.

and nothing is imported

I'm guessing that you imported the members, and then you went back to import the forums on a different import session. You need to do all your importing on one import session. It's safe to import members again, because it won't import the same username twice.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
