Can't wait for it to go out of beta… i'm jealous. I haven't even tested it, but by the sounds of it, I cannot wait…

Did I mention I cannot wait?

Been testing for two days now and besides the initial install errors it has been wonderful! It also seems remarkably fast…. much faster than older releases.

I did find one issue but it may not be related to ocporal at all.  That is in Opera 11 it doesn't upload anything right…. images, add ons…   however no other browser I've tried have had that difficulty so I'm thinking it is a bug in opera.

Next I'm going to  test  import member cvs but I expect it will workk fine.

So great job!

Thanks guys.

Just tested on the latest Opera and it seemed okay. What happens / doesn't happen? Any errors come up in the Opera Javascript/error console?

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.

Honestly, I didn't take a look at the error console lol. I should have, and will do so and report it in another thread or in the tracker if you prefer. Somehow I don't think that this is the thread for that.

Basically what would happen is I would import, say, the Classic Legends without panels theme as an add-on, hit the submit button, and nothing would happen. It would just sit there, no loading bar, with the submit button grayed out, for hours.. while other browsers would do it right away.

On a side note, I also just upgraded to 11.1 I think it is, from the 11 beta, but haven't yet tested the importing function with it.

I also just updated my firefox to the 4 beta, and it is a significant speed improvement, and has no trouble with anything ocportal lol.
