I use the SMF bridge with ocPortal.

I have a ton of downloads to offer and would like to allow members to comment on them. Sorta like a "Thank you" area. Is there a way to manipulate the coding so instead of trying to read the ocPortal forum, it reads SMF instead and does the same thing as if it were the ocPortal forum comments area?

Do I feel silly. Good thing I placed it in the silly questions. All I had to do was make the exact same forum as if it were a ocPortal forum. DUH!

Not meaning to multi-post, but I get this error when posting my first comment:

Code

Unfortunately a query has failed [UPDATE smf_boards SET ID_LAST_MSG=298, numPosts=(numPosts+1), lastUpdated=1194909181 WHERE ID_BOARD=84 LIMIT 1] [Unknown column 'lastUpdated' in 'field list'] (ocPortal version: 3.2.4, PHP version: 4.4.7, URL: /site/index.php?page=downloads&type=entry&id=1)
The comment actually posts, but is there a way to get rid of that query failure?

Become a fan of ocPortal on Facebook or add me as a friend. Add me on on Twitter.
Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Are you sure the fix was applied correctly? Basically the fix takes out the 'lastUpdated' bit that the error message refers to.
