Moving forward with Composr

ocPortal has been relaunched as Composr CMS, which is now in beta. ocPortal 9 will be superseded by Composr 10.

Head over to for our new site, and to our migration roadmap. Existing ocPortal member accounts have been mirrored.

The 'problem' with setting up a site seems to be that you tend to delve into areas that you don't normally have an interest in - and there goes the rest of the day!

Submission: Add to Comcode page ' recommend_help ' ...

Windows Live Mail

  1. Start Windows Live Mail.
  2. Click on the "Contacts" icon at the bottom of the left column.
  3. On the Windows Live Contacts toolbar, click File | Export ►, and then choose Comma Separated Values (.CSV)
  4. Browse to a folder where you want to store your contacts and give it a name; click Next.
  5. Select the fields you want to save; click Finish.
  6. You will see a progress window that tells you the export is being actioned; the window closes.
  7. You can now close the Windows Live Contacts window. The process is complete.
  8. Find the .csv file in the location in which you saved it.

I say 'Add' because there are still a few users who continue to use 'Windows Mail' which has been superseded by 'Windows Live Mail'.

How do you spell 'supersede'?
- superSede
- superCede

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

I wouldn't know about that spelling myself except for auto-correct ;).

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
