Clicking on image causes image and text displacement

On the view image page I happened to click on the image and noticed an image displacement happens. What is supposed to be happening?

Why I clicked on the image I don't know, there is nothing about the cursor that indicates a link of something (although I wouldnt mind if a click on the image would take me back to the thumnail gallery of origin) but when clicked on I notice the text above the image that says:

You are viewing gallery entry 8 of 38.
Show more from 'Someone'.

shifts to the left and everything below it, from the image downward, moves down in a line. Another click brings it back up again and shifts the text back right. It seems to toggle between thest two positions.

The 'PREVIOUS' and 'NEXT' buttons on the left and right of the text are not affected.

This must have something to do with what browser is used. What triggers it I don't know but I only notice it in IE, Firefox shows no response to the click.

The version of explorer is IE8.

I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.

Oddly, I have not been able to reproduce this on testing of IE8 on three computers.

Possibly you have a beta version on yours, or possibly the problem has been fixed in 4.3 which is what we're testing on.
