Chris

I am running Ocportal under Windows 2003, IIS and I am using the current version of php.  I have already tried using seveal other computers and rebooted everything on the entire network but it did not fix the problem.

In Admin Zone, Security, Permission Tree Editor when I click on the + to try and expand the forum tree from Zone:Form, Module:Forum, Forum root the other forums will not expand in the tree. Do you how I can fix this problem please?

Thanks
Phil

Hi,

This looks to me to be an Opera Javascript error message, which could explain why we haven't seen it before. I can't see any logical cause in our code, so it's probably an Opera incompatibility. However, I've tried the Permission Tree Editor in Opera 9 and it works fine - if you're using an older version, I'd advise upgrading.

p.s. Please don't delete then recreate posts to try and force our attention - it's just likely to get on our nerves more than accelerate things.

What Javascript error does Internet explorer give?

Also, please open up http://www.cyberchatnet.com/community/data/site_tree.php?get_perms=1 after logging in to the Admin Zone. I need you to save the contents of that page to a file, zip it up, and attach it to a reply to this topic.
Please use the browsers save facility, as copy&paste will lose the structure of the data.

Hi,

You have so many forums directly under the root forum (about 100) that things were getting too bogged down.
I've coded in a change (and put it on your server) that reduces the amount of configurability in the Permission Tree Editor when you have more than 40 directly under a single parent forum.

If you want to override permissions for your forums you'll now need to either:
  1. Rearrange the forums so that you make more use of subforums.
  2. Use the forum editor ( http://cyberchatnet.com/community/adminzone/?page=admin_ocf_forums&type=ed) to change the permissions.
