Moving forward with Composr

Hi ok dor some reason the upgrader has been started and was not by me and the error as follows comes came to email

An error occurred at:
http://bizglobalsolutions.com/main/index.php?page=upgrader.php

The full error details follow:

The requested resource does not exist. (Referrer is: https://charlie.hostigation.com:2087/scripts2/phpandsuexecconf)

Now all the chmods have changed and wouldnt let me do a few things so I changed permissions to required and let me carry on I am having to change most of them and doing so now is there a better option also I dont see the following files to change

  • data_custom/permissioncheckslog.php
  • data_custom/fields.xml
  • site/pages/html_custom/EN/download_tree_made.htm
I have noticed that I am still using version (4.0.1) am I able to upgrade to the latest ot=r am I to far behind and will this make a difference

Hi Bgstream,

Not sure why that happened. I personally for security reasons always re-name or remove those files. No reason the upgrader  uninstaller etc need to be on your site unless you need to use them.

When needed at a later date either upload them back to the server or re-name them back to there original name.

Hi bgsteam,

Looks like the host changed the server configuration by running some kind of script. A side-effect was it generated the error, but it also messed up permissions.

I've noted that there are certain files referenced in our docs that don't exist and I'll clarify that, but I think you've sorted it all ok for yourself.

this file changes back to 755 all the time from 777
Cannot write to /home/bizgloba/public_html/main/themes/Biz_Global_Solutions/
templates_cached/EN/. File permissions for it (or the directory it is in) have not been set correctly

also default/templates_catched/EN/

You can upgrade direct to 4.1, yes.

You might need to ask your webhost about this, but I guess that you don't have permission to change the permissions from the FTP user you are using to do it. You could try deleting the folder then recreating it with the permissions you want.
