I have manged to figure out that this is the code in the template that handles the comment count on an gallery image

Code

<a href="{VIEW_URL*}">{$COMMENT_COUNT,videos,{ID}}</a>

What would I need to change this code to show the View count of the image instead of the comment count?
Any help would be appreciated

I'd expect to find those in the various language files. I am not sure if they are granular enough to change just this one instance though.

Tisnart is asking about count not text, so its not just a language file issue.

The following code is in the template above the comment count and displays the view count on mouse over:

Code

            {+START,IF,{$INLINE_STATS}}
               <tr>
                  <th class="de_th meta_data_title">{!COUNT_VIEWS}</th>
                  <td>{VIEWS*}</td>
               </tr>
            {+END}
So {!COUNT_VIEWS} and {VIEWS*} should be what can be used.

Hmmm…I thought he was looking for this in the global language file:
_COMMENTS

<strong>{1}</strong> {1|comment|comments}

Bob

EDIT: Okay, just got it. He was to change what count is actually reported.

Thanx for your help guys,
I figured that was the code I needed temp1024, I'm just not sure how to exactly change the code to implement that?

{!COUNT_VIEWS} and {VIEWS*}

Code

<a href="{VIEW_URL*}">{$COMMENT_COUNT,videos,{ID}}</a>

Sorry! I'm slowly getting it  :$

Assuming you still want the link to go to the image/comment page, you can use something like this:

Code

<a href="{VIEW_URL*}">{VIEWS*} {!COUNT_VIEWS}</a>

And if you just want the view count but no link then use:

Code

{VIEWS*} {!COUNT_VIEWS}

Then just add whatever formatting (bold etc.) you want to it.
