Hi guys! I am very new with ocPortal. After finish installation, I try to close my website to public, but can not save any configuration changes! Always have this:
----------------------------------------------
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /adminzone/index.php on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
------------------------------------------------
Do you know how to deal with it? Thank you very much!!!

Did you turn on any of the "short URL" options in the configuration?

No, I didn't. Now the first problem was fixed by my web host but I still can't turn on the short URLs! I get this page after I click save button "Before you may enable mod_rewrite support, you must enable it on the web server…" Seems I have to ask web host again?! Does "enable mod_rewrite" affect my website safe or…? Thanks!

Is it a Linux server…?

It could also be permissions on the server for the files… etc…

Yes, it's Linux server, well going to ask web host to fix it… is it all happened in the shared server? when I got more money, must move to dedicated server!

Personally I would move to a VPS first and out grow that before moving to a dedicated server… My site at present Southern Rider has about 600 members and growing... and is on a VPS it got a bit much for a shared host.

Any way you should be able to check the file permissions via ftp, failing that mose hosts have some sort of file manager that you should be able to use. Via cPanel or what ever they use...

File Permissions BTW I doubt this will fix it but always something to check and has fixed a few issues I have had with scripts in the past, when the file permission was wrong for what ever reason.
