WYSIWYG error in the description

Hi guys,

When I add an event any text colour or images I add to the description show perfect in the WYSISWG but when I save it then check it. The code shows up with the text and the imag is the code not the image. only plain text works anything else shows up as raw code.

One other question? How do I delete an new event cat picture or the Event Cat itself.

Thanks

Hi,

I've done a test and can't reproduce this. What web browser are you using, and could you demonstrate with a screenshot please?

What's the default calendar category that is getting selected when you add the event?

 Hi Chris, Its a new event  added by me. I just tested it editing the event  to Cat "General" and it worked ok. So any new Cat that I create is faulty.

One of my admin's added  pic for a band  so it would have its own event type (cat). The pic he used was to large and we cant find where to delete it. see SS

to answer your question about deleting the image all you need to do it go to your manage theme images section and the entry should be at the top just look for "37259ae7e357e" as the entry name.

 I'm not real big on building skins as of right now but if you would like some custom graphics done for your site I am more than willing as long as I have the time. -\-PhrozenStudios-/-

sorry to say that I just replicated your event entry with a new cat made by me and it works fine on my site.

I'm at a bit of a loss here I'm afraid, so all I can is ask some more questions and explain what clues I have.

Line 1040 of site/pages/modules/calendar.php is:

Code

      $content=($event['e_type']==db_get_first_id())?make_string_tempcode(text_lookup_original($event['e_content'])):text_lookup_comcode($event['e_content']);

and this line basically says "if the event is of the first type [the type reserved for system commands] then show it as raw text otherwise interpret it via Comcode".

I think it's not a coincidence this line exists so I'm left thinking either:
  • this line itself is malfunctioning somehow
  • that somehow your new event type has taken over the ID# (1) that is meant to be reserved for system command events (only manual database changes would lead to this, so it's unlikely)
  • that somehow the event is being put in the system-command event-type even though that isn't what was chosen.

Am I safe assuming no manual database changes have occurred? If you go to edit your event, does the event type show as "system command"?
If the answer is no to both of these, does changing the line I pointed out to the following help?…

Code

      $content=text_lookup_comcode($event['e_content']);

Thanks for your patience.
