Bringing ocPortal to a hosting server from local computer

Hi All, Do i have to change anything to the database configuration or the database data if i am going to bring the ocPortal files to a hosting server? Currently, I am using Apache HTTP server installed on my computer to work out the portal and some of the database data contains the IP address of my computer so I'm thinking if lets say I'm going to bring this ocPortal folder with files over to a Hosting server, do i have to change the any of the IP addresses? Thanks in advance.

You shouldn't have to, no.

All you need to do is export the Database. Don't use phpMyAdmin - I'd recommend downloading this script.

Once downloaded, move the file to the required folder (wherever files are stored on your PC), then navigate to the script via your browser. Supply any DB settings it asks, then once connected, simply hit "export" in the navigation.

I'd recommend using the same script for importing onto your new server. Do that same exact thing, only choose to "import" a database instead of choosing to export.

Let me know if you have any trouble. :)

Edit: Once the database has been transferred, you'll need to edit your info.php file.
