Please could you people advise on and or point me to previous topics or documentation on this that I've so far been unable to find.

I don't want my jpegs or video to be able to be downloaded from galleries, say right clicking on gallery pics and using browser video download plug-ins. Does OCPortal galleries system have settings for this or can it be customised to do this or is there such a thing as an advanced gallery add-on where this can be achieved?

Try Admin Zone → Setup → Configuration → Security options → General → Anti-Leech, but read the 'warning' about using the feature!

It may not be exactly what you are looking for, and you can probably insert a 'script' in your header that pops up a message on right-click. However, I've found that those attempts to stop users from harvesting the image or video are pretty ineffectual and will only stop casual/unsophisticated users!

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

Thanks Fletch :-)

Ill check out those security options you put the path to, and try 'insert a 'script' in your header that pops up a message on right-click'

Yeah, you're right, at least stopping casual users is better than nothing...
