Hi,
I've created a banner, using direct code to "freewarefiles.com". When I save I get;

Even if I "hot link" an image from the site it still shows nothing...

Settings are all ok.

Cheers
 Roy

A bit confused about this one, and I couldn't reproduce.

If you get this error, which would block adding, I don't know how the banner would have been displayed as added in Opera.

Is this when adding or editing?

Maybe I've fixed it. The radio button selection of alternate input types is new in v9 and it has gone through some bug fixes, but I'm not sure.

Or maybe you're right about it being a browser issue. Maybe you meant it added AND displayed in Opera, but wouldn't add at all in some other browser? Which other browser? (you're profile here says you're currently using Opera).

Hi Chris,
Yeah I use a few browsers for compatibility purposes. I found that opera does have a few 'problems' that firefox doesn't and vice versa.
In opera if I goto menu management and select a menu to edit and click choose, nothing happens, yet firefox does this no problem.
Opera added/edited/displayed banners fine, firefox only added/edited ok but didn't display.
I'm currently looking if its a browser config problem, will update as I go.

Kindest regards
Roy

Are you sure it's not just that by default admins don't see banners?

I remember this one being reported and a fix is ready for beta 3, but it wasn't framed as an Opera problem. I'll run a quick check now but I think probably it was something else.

And, I see it indeed doesn't work in Opera ;). Fixing now.

Not sure if I haven't broken compatibility in the file involved, so I'll post the specific patch for Opera. This bug may well have affected various forms in the system…
