Got this error again today.  This is one of the rash I had last week, that stopped after y'all fixed it.  Now, here it is again.  Again, I am at work today - didn't have any problems using the website over the weekend except the access problem with the Site Config menu.  I've submitted a ticket to my host to see if they see any problems on that side.  Any suggestions on this side?  Please advise!

ocPortal error

The IP address you are accessing this website from (204.253.245.126) has been banished from this website. If you believe this is a mistake, contact the staff to have it resolved (typically, postmaster@helpingpans.com will be able to reach them).

If you are yourself staff, you should be able to unban yourself by editing the usersubmitban_ip table in a database administation tool, by removing rows that qualify against yourself. This error is raised to a critical error to reduce the chance of this IP address being able to further consume server resources.

Details here are intended for the website/system-administrator, not for regular website users. If you are a regular website user, please let the website staff deal with this problem.

Depending on the error, you may need to edit the base configuration (the info.php file).

ocProducts maintains full documentation for all procedures and tools. These may be found on the ocPortal website. If you are unable to easily solve this problem, we may be contacted from our website and can help resolve it for you.

ocPortal is a website engine created by ocProducts.

It is possible that your server clock moved around again, repeating what happened last time. Did you receive any flood control messages?

May I ask what host you use?

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

It's a host called www.Jatol.com.  I've been with them for years and they are great.  I just submitted a ticket to them about the clock thing and they said no, no such problem.  They could not find any server reason why I would be getting this error.

Didn't receive any flood control messages - just got this screen when I went to my admin URL to login for the first time today.

Here is the latest response from my host re: the clock issue:  "Yeah, during the last week we had a clock issue but that was man days ago, and I show the clock is currently up to date and working properly.

So that should not happen again.

Nor should it affect you today, as that was days ago it happened."

So, if the clock is now okay, why am I still getting the error?

I think I know what happened. I forgot to unban your work IP! So it'd have worked for you over the weekend, when you weren't at work.
It's not unbanned.

Chris, did you go back in and unban that ip?  Now that I'm at home, I went in to see if I could do it, but I don't see any entries.  Please let me know. Thanks!

If there are no entries in the ocp2_usersubmitban_ip table, you should be unbanned. :)

Well-settled

Talking of such things, what do you do if you buy a new computer and then forget the admin password?

Why no "forgotten password?" thingy?

D ← who can recall his password here but not on his own site…
