Any time that I go to a settings page that requires you to select an entry point such as adding a menu item I get the following:

I have tried it on 2 computers and 3 browsers (IE, FF, Opera) and it just sits there indicating it is loading. I left one of my computers up through the nite and it was still there this morning still loading. It was working for a while, I added several menus to differant areas of the site, but then for no reason I go this error. I have made no modifications other than basic site edits, in other words I have not changed any file permissions or any server type settings.

Any help would be appriciated.

Hi Rick,

There's no need to do so much personal testing if you find a problem – we're happy to look into it as soon there is a clear sign of it failing :).

This could likely be a couple of things – it could be a timeout – or it could be a bug relating to ocPortal not properly handling special symbols in it's tree-list code.

Would you like to send me a PT with admin access details to your site? I would login and analyse the XML feed that powers the tree-list and see if I can identify what's going wrong.
Otherwise I can show you how to send me a copy of the XML source of the feed.

As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.

Ok, now I fixed it :).

It didn't like zones with ampersands in the title. I uploaded a fix to your site which will also be included in the next patch release.
