Hi Guys,

I wanted to use Chrome browser to upload some pictures as attachments, I can select a picture on my harddisk, but then the screen is stop working. I used the leatest version of Chrome. I had to use Opera to upload the attachments to my page.

Don't no if this is a browser bug or something else. Can somebody try this out?

greetings Harry

It's a serious Chrome usability issue (they have an open bug on it). You'll notice in the right of the address bar it's saying how the popup is blocked. But actually that's something that stalls the browser, rather than tells the code about a block - i.e. it is waiting for you to decide what to do from that little notification icon.

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Yeah, I had a guy on my site using chrome that had the same issue.  I dropped by his house (a local guy) and noticed that pop-up blocked thing.   I clicked it and set it to always allow popups from my site, works great for him now.
