But the image is there and displays fine in the post... weird!

When I create a blog post and attach an image and insert it into the post
I get this error after saving

Your action was successful.
An image code () was referenced that does not exist

I'm not sure why this error happens as when I view the blog post, the image is there and displays fine.
Any ideas?

also at the bottom of the blog post I have this message

This blog entry is filed under the following categories:[This entry failed to be properly created; please edit/delete as appropriate]

I'm not sure why this error is happening either, any ideas?

thanks in advance

This indicates to me a corrupt news category. Somehow the image and the title for that category has gone missing. Could happen if you manually had changed the database without setting the correct associations.

I'm afraid I just tried to reproduce this, but I could't. I tried from a number of angles and it all seemed okay.

If you go to Content Management > News > Edit News Category, you should be able to delete the corrupt blog category and it should auto-create properly next time you add some news.

thanks!

I think thats what it was

in the category list I had this, the last one appears to be the issue. I think it let me create a post without forcing me to select a category and once it saved and had no category it made the error category (if that makes sense?).

1 Art
2  Business
3 Community
4 Difficulties
5 Entertainment
6 General
7 Technology
8 [This entry failed to be properly created; please edit/delete as appropriate]

ok something strange

When I create a blog post, I dont see an option to select a category. So when I create a blog post, it inserts it into a new category with the error as the title of the category.

Now I've renamed the "[This entry failed to be properly created; please edit/delete as appropriate]" to "Sample Category" and all new blog posts are going into that category.

also, when I go to Home Content Management News Edit news, the blog posts are listed there along with the news posts. Are they supposed to be?

Hmm, actually I did find a way to reproduce this. If you add news, and you've never selected your blog before, and you select the blog as a secondary category, it'll trigger.

We'll fix that.

Was that what you were doing?

Anyway, yes, blogs are news.
