I created a new post that is all html and the news block shows the code and not the content or what the code generates.
Now I know this might be a security things and not a bug but could you let me know a work around for it.

Thanks,

Amy

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

 :(
This was not a suggestion I am having the problem on my site.
Its a table using html although I could have done it in div which I think works well actually for some reason I do not even think it showed those posts.

I could not answer this post between 9:09PM and work the next day because it required an investigation. Now I'm back from work, I've looked into it. However, after an hour trying I can't actually get IPB to make an HTML post at all :(. I've tried typing HTML directly, and also using the 'doHTML' tag, to no effect. I've tried to put HTML manually into the WYSIWYG editor, to no effect. I've looked through all the options on the post screen in case there was an 'enable HTML' option, and I've made sure my usergroup has HTML enabled, and the board has HTML enabled - no luck. I've even trawled through the IPB code to see if I could find anything, but something seems to be filtering out my attempts way before bbcode is even parsed.

Please explain the process you went through to make an HTML post, and the IPB version involved.
Also a screenshot of the failing post would help a lot.

I've tried putting HTML manually into the IPB post database, and ocPortal seems alright with it, so I think there must be something weird going on.

In IPB 2.2 when your an admin or have the right there is an html option.

When you want to see that you have to have the permission for your group as well as html for the forum you are posting in has html enabled.

I have known sites I have helped set up move a post that was html into a forum that had html disabled and it shows the code so I think you might not have the forum set up with the html enabled.

Sorry about that, I can't believe I missed it. Here is a new sources/forum/ipb2.php that seems to work with this option.

That same thing happens if I set the html settings on IPB to be auto instead of raw. I normally use raw because it works better.
