Allow non-Admins Into Closed Site

Hi all,

I am relatively new to ocP, replacing my MKPortal/MyBB site. I have searched documentation and this forum, but the answer has eluded me. If the answer is there and I missed it, please direct me to it and forgive me and be gentle.

My pickle is this. The site is a gaming site and because of some recent events, the new ocP site I only want accessible by my clanmates and friends of the clan for at least six months, keeping everyone else at bay. I know that any admins, super-moderators, or any "Staff" group (correct?) can get in the site and work on it, but I would like to be able to grant access to specific individuals or a group that only have standard user rights. Meaning, I don't want to give everyone in the clan permission to admin or moderator features just so that they can bypass the closed access.

Was that clear enough or should I try to reword it? Have I missed a setting in the admin area that can make this happen or does it not exist? Thank you in advance and I appreciate any assistance.

You can create another secondary group and add the individuals you want to have access to the closed site to it. Then allow that group access to your closed site. That way they stay in the clan group as well.

I am obviously and sadly missing something.

In case you don't how to set another usergroup to access your closed site:

Admin Zone > Security > Specific-permissions > Staff actions

It's the first option.

Mine says "Global specific-permissions" and I was paying too much attention to "Global" which threw me off. Again, thank you for your quick and specific assistance!
