Whenever I enter the Adminzone, I get this error:

   "A language entry is missing: FORUM_POSTS (ocPortal version: 3.0.10, PHP version: 5.1.4, URL: /adminzone/index.php?page=)"

I don't modify any files, so I don't understand what I did, maybe it's just a small buggy in 3.0? :(

Shall I paste the Stack Trace for this error? Any help would be great. Thanks!

~Joe

Is /lang/EN/ocf.ini intact and with 644 permissions? It should be around 50KB in size. Also, are you using OCF (if not, then there could be a bug in that OCF stuff is being loaded up that shouldn't be)?

Non-joined user

Ehh, I'm running ocPortal on my windows server, there aren't any permissions. And yes, I am using OCF.

Could you give us the stack trace of the problem please? You can censor any personal details if you wish.

Ehh, I cannot paste the stack trace here, the ocPortal is making it look all funny. How should I do this?

Confirmed.

sources/hooks/systems/awards/post.php,

Put

Code

require_lang('ocf');
on it's own line before line 35 ($info['title']=do_lang('FORUM_POSTS');).

(a formal fix will come soon)

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
