Did you somehow manage to delete the root gallery (ocPortal shouldn't allow you, but perhaps this is where the bug is)? Could you attached a screenshot of where there is "no field" so we can see exactly what you mean? What ocPortal version is this?

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Well, if IE7 is failing to display our tree lists then that's a problem unto itself - especially as IE7 is going to be a recommended upgrade for people. I'll look into this.

This is a problem - Internet Explorer 7 seems to have really broken their XML support. If the problem still happens once IE7 is out of beta, we'll need to substantially rewrite parts of our Javascript and release it as a bug fix.
