Not (necesarily) for download, just to display in a zone

I have an image I want to display in the welcome zone. It does not need to be in a gallery or downloadable but I suppose it could be. This is another "what's the right way" kind of question.

I assume I should put it "somewhere" and use comcode to get it displayed. But, where should I put it?

I created a "my_images" directory in the root directory and then use Comcode/Tempcode to point to the image.

Hope that helps.

Fan in action

From my fairly-yet-still-a-novice experience, the easiest way to do this is:

1. In the text area, place the cursor where you want the image.

2. Scroll down the "attachment" section right below the edit box and after expanding it, select the file to upload.

3. Under "type" choose inline ,left inline or right inline-depending where you want to see the image.

4. Return to the edit window and you'll see a new piece of code that has been inserted. Make sure it's exactly where you want to see it.

5. Preview and/or save your post.

Worked like a charm. Used {$BASE_URL} so it is portable. This is not just an image but an image map. I included the map HTML in the comcode file which looks ugly but works.

Thanks.
