I want to add recurring historical events to the calendar (births, deaths, anniversaries and other important events). When setting up an event, you can only specify a date from this year going forward. I need to be able to enter dates from 1909, 1934, 1942, etc. How can I do this?

Thanks for any help.

It's not really designed for historic events, but this will make it go back 100 years so at least you can capture birthdays etc of living people.

You can mod it yourself if you like, change 120 in the code to change the year range and change 100 to change how far back it goes. So currently it has 120 years to choose from, from 100 years ago to 20 in the future.
The problem is this is a list, so if you want to go a long way back it could get huge.

Thanks, Chris.

I realized that the list would be long but then thought to myself that is is really no worse than the year dropdown in the member profile.

I'll give this a shot and let you know how I get on with it.

Thanks for the patch, Chris. It works perfectly.

In my case, only staff will be maintaining the calendar so the inconvenience is not widespread.
