When in the Edit Members area we would like to be able to add First Name, Last Name and other custom fields to the search criteria. There doesn't seem to be a way to do that. There is no "More" option to set Advanced parameters.

This can be found in the standard search in the public area of the website and there is a "Members" tick box with an "Advanced" link but when clicked it produces a "A critical parameter, zone, was missing." error message.

Anyone know the problem or if additional fields can be set here? Also if set here will that make members searchable from the public side of the site? We don't want that to happen only in the Member area.

The above fixes the bug you found.

The non-bundled 'member_directory_boxes' addon does what you want I think. This doesn't use search (although a previous version of it did), it uses ocFilter, which is ocPortal 9's content filtering system that the member directory does support.

I can't step through how it works on the forum, but it is fully editable via the sample templates.

Hi Chris

I have combed through the Version 9 add-ons list and cannot find the add-on file you suggest. Can you provide a link to it? I assume the sample templates come with it?

Also on a related note how would one copy the search box/function which is currently at the bottom of the Members list page to the top where it would be more convenient? Once you get over a couple of hundred profiles Search is used more often then the data displayed on the page.

Cheers,  Doug

NOTE this is the same project that you have been corresponding with platinumplayer over (my son)

I probably should have written it with underscores, here it is:

Yes, it should work out of the box.

This is the case with this addon already.
