Fix for the 2nd problem is in the bugs database (click on link of known bugs from your Admin Zone front page).

First problem can be resolved by upping the memory limit in your htaccess file, but we'll look into this at some point after the Christmas period.

It would be the htaccess file in ocPortal's base directory. There may be a setting in there already referring to the memory limit - just make the number bigger :). If it's not there grab the line from the recommended.htaccess file from the same directory.

Some web hosts will also up the memory size. I usually ask them first as I find it easier then messing with the .htaccess.

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

Probably. If it doesn't work, change it back. More about htaccess files is contained in our FAQ.

Well-settled

Some if not most web hosts will limit this on the server end and deny the ability to modify it. I had this happen various times and it was a very good reason to cancel and move along until i said the heck with it and purchased a dedicated server and do everything myself.

Yep thats why I ask the host first.
I would love to get a dedicated but I do not have that much money.

Hi,

Update- I was able to reproduce this problem and find 2 optimisations that have fixed it.
These will be included in the next patch release unless they cause stability problems (they're very complex optimisations).

For now the best course of action is still to raise the memory limit using a .htaccess file (or php.ini files for a CGI server).
