Well-settled

Hello, I've been trying for a day now to use my installed SMF inside the portal using "_SEARCH:forums" as it said in the Documentation. I keeps saying it's not found and my forums dictionary is "community", if any help there.

Where can I obtain the OCF forum file since I thought for a minute that I could just re-upload it in my zip not remembering that all the files are compressed in one file? :D

I thought if you were using a forum script other then ocf that you had to put the full url for the forum into the portal menu blocks.
How ever at this time I am not sure what you put in if your have ocPortal wrapped around the forum, which I know can be done just now sure what goes in the link.

I run http://otakuplayground.com and am hopping to make themes and other things for ocportal even though I no longer use it for otakuplayground.com I still love it and feel it could go far with the right help. It needs themes and needs people to advertise for it.

What the question about that does anyone have the "forum" dictionary, because of my foolish mistake of replacing it?  :|

I do not have a forum directory I have just the forums directory where my forum is at.
My forum is ipb.

IPB 2.2.2 (Get ready for 2.3), and dang. I would think that the ocPortal development team put the files needed for "Forum in Portal" feature so that's why I ask.

I'm afraid I'm confused by this topic, so I can't help without some more information.

I keeps saying it's not found

I'd need the precise error message. A number of things could fail to be found, and from my point of view I don't know if the error is coming from ocPortal, the web browser, or the web server. The error message will help me identify that, and better understand the problem.

What the question about that does anyone have the "forum" dictionary, because of my foolish mistake of replacing it?

I think you mean 'directory' instead of 'dictionary', but please confirm this. The 'forum' directory is not required for non-OCF installations though.

IPB 2.2.2 (Get ready for 2.3), and dang.

If you are saying ocPortal is installed to use IPB, and you want to move to SMF instead, then this would basically require a reinstall.

Hopefully with some clarification I'll be able to help you :).

There isn't a error message besides the page ('_SEARCH: forums') isn't found. The board is SMF already, amichan just said she has IPB.

I noticed you typed that with a space, which shouldn't be there. I just thought I'd mention that in case this is the cause.

The file is pages/modules/forums.php and is included in all ocPortal installs.

Is this error appearing after clicking a menu link you've created?
