Moving forward with Composr

ocPortal has been relaunched as Composr CMS, which is now in beta. ocPortal 9 will be superseded by Composr 10.

how can i create a splash screen for users not logged in?

my new site is coming along great.
All I need to figure out is how to create

a WELCOME page for those NOT LOGGED in.

and

ANOTHER welcome page for those who are logged in

I have not been able to figure it out, yet.

Perhaps, the welcome page for those not logged in can be a SPLASH SCREEN.

All I want is for those who are register user NOT to see the welcome screen anymore once they are loggged in.

Can this be done?

You might want to investigate the 'if_in_group' property, e.g. on my site I have this …

[if_in_group="1"]{+START,BOX,Visitors}[block]main_greeting[/block]{+END}[/if_in_group]

[if_in_group="2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13"]{+START,BOX,Members,}[block]main_greeting[/block]{+END}[/if_in_group]

… where 'group 1'= Visitors, and the other groups belong to the others you have set up for your site.

The 'main_greeting' block will need to be looked at closely to see how you want to differentiate between the the two distinct groups.

In addition to the great solution offered above by Fletch, you might want to decide whether the welcome zone's theme is to be used for all login screens like a "splash screen" as you suggested, in addition to a separate Site zone. See option Located in Admin Zone-->Setup-->Configuration-->Theme options-->General.
