Well-settled

I have found just 2 issues after the upgrade from 7.1.6 to 8 .

one is every time I go into something in configuration or on the Site Admin page and press , either edit ( on the Site watch list oprion) or the configuration tab and then try to go into specific options to adjust I get the following error. (Using Mozilla)

If I then try and save my options in the configuration menus I get the follwoing error.

Hopefully its something simple.

The first seems to be your browser cache. Try emptying it then reopening the browser. The javascript_ajax.js file has changed (generated from JAVASCRIPT_AJAX.tpl).

The 2nd is modsecurity (an external influence), you'll find a lot about that on the forums here, and there's a document in the community docs.

I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.

Thanks Chris for the info,
The cache issue i snow fixed.
As for the mod security issue , I have been talking to the webhost and they have made the following statement.

""Message: The file /adminzone/admin_config/set/FEATURE.htm does not exist on the server (actually the entire directory /adminzone/admin_config/ does not exist).  Did you make any changes to remedy the problem?"

Now I know all this worked in the version 7 . I looked at the earlier install and that does not have those folders either, in fact in v8 we now have more files in the admin zone then in previous versions.

I tired debranding as to try something different and again got that error.
"

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /adminzone/admin_debrand/actual.htm on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

"

Is there something I can explain to them how the files are being pulled as obviously the debranding file is in adminzone/pages/modules and so on and when they look they look for the folders that as they are right don't exist.

Thanks

Those are controlled by mod_rewrite. adminzone/pages/modules/admin_config.php is the actual PHP file the URL relates to, but it is called via adminzone/index.php.
