Updating a site I designed for a client (and coming along very well) and came across a stumbling block per say.

The site is in closed mode…

All new usergroups are being created and current members are being moved to specific groups. Each usergroup is to also have specific colors, not the defaults.

All usergroups have been made. Is there an easy way to go into the CSS page and determine what groups are what?

(In the past I would just do it on a site that is not closed and play with it in two browsers. One browser would be in admin account and other in test account. I would set the test user in a group and then in the admin account, go into the CSS page and edit groups with a specific color and refresh the browser page from test user to see if it matched…. that is the LONG WAY AROUND.)

The site needs to be remain closed if possible so members don't start using it again and new members are created.

Request for future updates: When creating usergroups, allow a color of the group to be chosen on the creation screen.

LOOOOONG way, perhaps, but one I use all the time (I'm a 'flash-git' [Brit parochialism] - 2 monitors).

Can I suggest you create 'dummy' users (dumb@ss1, dumb@ss2, dumb@ss3, etc. - as opposed to using the 'test' username) for each group while the site is closed and give each the permission to access a closed site. Then you can happily delete the 'dummy' users when you're ready to open the site!

P.S. Ignore me if you're already doing this, and after re-reading your post it looks as if you are!

Take my advice. I'm not using it!
