Comcode pages do not show meta tags

Hi,

Happy New Year to you all, hope you are well.

I have a question, or probably an issue with 7.1.5:

All Comcode pages show meta tags (title, description, keywords) defined in configuration (site options).

I was expecting at least description taken from the tagging/brief description of each Comcode page.

Am I wrong or do I miss something?

Thanks in advance

Dirk

They're not appended to the global one?

  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Default theme?

Link to a site would help us debug.

No, I am using custom theme.

Btw, news, blogs, forums etc. work fine, only comcode pages like imprint do not work on my site.

My site is in German, hopefully this is ok with you?

Please try the attached. I think it was not doing other meta data when pages had no titles defined.

Nice Site Ragtop. You should put that one in the showcase forum for sure. A nice example of how good an ocPortal site can look with a little effort.

Thanks guys for paying a compliment. Fore sure, from a showcase perspective I should have posted my site to the forum, however I can't seem to find it ready to showcase to the community - yet the design is not completed.

I have been working with ocPortal for a while and am still experiencing opportunities the CMS provides to the designer, hu - awesome what the OCP team accomplish … highly appreciated.

Probably it might be a good idea to post it onto the forum even there is not yet much content as well as design and translation is by far away from completion.

Dee,

Although this is not a thread for web design, I want to point out that ocPortal has awesome capabilities that enables you to customize design and functionality. Assuming you are familiar with css, html, php, you are able to realize almost everything with ocPortal as a platform and framework.

Please also read the articles/docs about TEMPCODE as this adds powerful tools to your site.

Cheers
