Upgraded from: 7.1.6 to 8.1.4

My Main Site upgrade went very smoothly and everything else seem to work without problems, even the many themes created with ver 5 to 7 for different zones render nicely.

Menu link (Module: downloads) produce a hacking attempt detection and access denial.
Anti-Leech option is enabled and when disabling produce same error.
However, links for random downloads block on front page work just fine

The downloads editor is stuck in a loop looking for a category when there is none. All downloads are in "Downloads home" which shows a + icon instead of a - icon.

I also received the following intermittent error message trying to edit Downloads:

I suspect this is all one problem. There seems to be some data in a download description that ocPortal thinks is suspicious. Normally this could not get saved – I wonder if the submitter got demoted so they don't have admin permission anymore.

What does this OcCLE command say?

Code

:echo get_translated_text(1308503199);

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Chris,
Sorry for my delay in confirming that your "FIX" solved my problem, as I was not able to be at my computer until late today. I actually learned something about (Function 'get_translated_tempcode'Args) in your answer that can help me solve similar problems in the future. I know that my members frequently do not pay enough attention to the image links they add in their posts and contents. In this case, it referred to a webpage and not an image. The OcCLE command was very helpful in quickly finding the fault and correct it after your FIX gave access back to the download editor.

I cannot show here the OcCLE discovery even after deleting hundreds of characters which must have referred to the page content to keep it short since it triggers the same hacking alarm here on ocPortal.O_o Oops! Sorry about that!;)

Many Thanks!:thumbs:

Jean:)
