I thought I had this configured properly, but when I use a test account that is set up as a super-mod, I do not have the ability to validate new users?

I have my global priviledges set up under the "members, user groups and forums" category such that, for super-mods, they should be able to validate new members, however, if I'm logged in as a super-mod, the option to edit a profile (hence validate a user), is not available?  Did I miss a setting somewhere?

Thanks,
Mark

Could you show a screenshot of the Edit\Settings tab of the member's profile. It should be on there if validation is installed and that privilege is checked.

No, unfortunately that's the problem.  When logged in as super moderator, and I view a members profile, there is no edit/settings tab - it's not there.  It's only visible when I log in as administrator.

Thank you Chris.  Quick question:  will that patch also work on 8.1.4?  This is the same site you helped me with yesterday.

Cheers,

Mark

No luck in 8.1.4 :(

After changing the file to the new one, I log in as super mod and click on an unvalidated members name and the app logs me out.  If I try and log in as admin after that, this showed up:

An error has occurred

PHP ERROR [1] Call to undefined function has_privilege() in sources/hooks/systems/profiles_tabs/edit.php on line 35 (version: 8.1.4, PHP version: 5.2.8, URL: /main/site/index.php?page=members&type=view&id=wmaslow)

Here is the stack trace:

Below is a stack trace revealing the state the software was in when the error occurred. If this represents a bug in the unmodified software, you may want to check ocPortal website for a fix, and if there isn't one, report this as a bug. Please note that merely posting a stack trace is not sufficient for us to solve your problem; the stack trace is just an aid that presents us with additional information. We still need to know the error message, what you tried to do, how you tried to do it, version numbers, and any other appropriate information.
We apologise for this problem and if it's a bug we hope you will work with us so that we can fix it for you promptly.

Just tried it and... it worked!  I'm not feeling like so much of a pain this time because it appears that it was a genuine bug I uncovered.  :P

Thanks Chris!!
