Greetings!

So I am trying a few things, and one of the chief desires of my site members is a good working shoutbox. We tried the ocPortal stock shoutbox first, but it was laggy and had no auto-refresh and such... so it didn't work well for us.

Well I found us a shoutbox script that does work pretty well. I am putting it on the site, but I would love to be able to put it in a ocportal comcode box to make it fit the site theme better.

I tried something like this:

Code

[box] <script> happy script stuff </script> [/box]

But it kept throwing me the stupid "Box tag was opened but not closed!" error. Which, it clearly was closed...

So is there a way to do this?

I would need to see your exact code here in a code tag. There's probably some typo somewhere, or some encoding problem.

Here it is:

Code

[box="The NorOvan Crier"]<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www4.yourshoutbox.com/shoutbox/start.php?key=295283172"></script>[/box]

I should add that i have to do it in SOURCE mode because the script doesn't work if it isn't put in as an html script.  So the boxes have to be typed in SOURCE mode as well.

Automated fix message

Here it is:

Code

[box="The NorOvan Crier"]<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www4.yourshoutbox.com/shoutbox/start.php?key=295283172"></script>[/box]

I should add that i have to do it in SOURCE mode because the script doesn't work if it isn't put in as an html script.  So the boxes have to be typed in SOURCE mode as well.
