ocPortal 9I have one other question. How do I get the forum bars - containing stats and what not - back at the top and bottom of my not wide set forum. Basically in this post: http://ocportal.com/forum/topicview/misc/deploying/adding-forum-statistics.htm Chris had given a way to do this in v8, while saying that in v9 these would be blocks that could be placed in if you wished or whatever. The code that worked in v8 doesn't work in v9. So, I went looking for how to add these blocks to the forum. You can't do so in Zone Editor. And I can't seem to find the forumview comcode page. So..... how do we add those blocks in?

Like ocPortal? Want to thank Chris and gang somehow? Then help out in the chat room! It really needs your help! Just open it in a tab everytime you open your web browser, and when you hear a "ding", check it out!

I am using the new OCF_FORUM.tpl. I simply copy/pasted my two info box stuff into it, so that way I knew I was using an unmessedup-by-mythus tpl file.

That brought back my top & bottom panels. So, when in doubt, upload the default!

1.) Move mine beneath Legends of Nor'Ova Forums like you have yours beneath Forum Home 2.) The darker top boarder around the box, like what you have, would be nice. 3.) My "number of new posts" is cut off…. Your's, well isn't. Seeing temp1024 having visited this page, I am starting to think this is a solution that is covered in OCF_FORUM.tpl…. So I'll do a quick check there.

2– There isn't a range of box types now (at least not in the same way), so this is just the styling for '.box'. 3– Try increasing the width in '.ocf_member_column_c'. Could you let me know what works, I might need to patch that to others due to font sizing on Linux. As for the rest.... I'll wait to see if the new location grows on me or not. If not, then I'll undertake that step.

Ok, I'm confused as to where these are being overridden. I did the 8.1.3 to 9 upgrade, and have been looking around, but am dumbfounded as to what needs to be changed to bring them back.

Yeah, I couldn't find it either so what I did was: 1.) Downloaded and extracted the manual extraction for v9. 2.) Uploaded uploaded the new default panel_top and panel_bottom pages to /pages/comcode_custom/EN Doing that brought them back a lot easier than trying to search through all the files to find where I was overriding them.

When I removed those files, it changed my front page back to default from other changes I had made though, so it seems when you edit pages, it stores them in _custom. At least I learned that.

Then again, when I upgraded to v9, I rebuilt my theme as a new theme. But still I have to wonder, what is going on that made it work for me, but not for you…

Code
{+START,IF,{$ADDON_INSTALLED,ocf_forum}}
The above is in the _top file, and appears to be the logic of if you see it or not. Now it shows new PT's, so that part works, so it seems to have to do with the OR WIDE EQ PAGE part… but I don't have time to figure that all out as I need to run off to work.

I know that in lots of scripts though, the # cancels out the code….

"#" means "select element with the follow ID" in CSS, it's not a comment. Do you have the forum zone set to wide Arbo? If so the logic would stop it showing. To debug dump some xxx's in different bits of the panel Comcode and see which of them show.
