Can anybody running the latest version of ocPortal (v9.0.13) and Internet Explorer confirm whether the editor options that use overlays (block assistant, comcode tag assistant, etc.) work as expected or do they hang indefinitely with the Loading animation or fail to respond to Okay or Cancel button clicks? I usually do my editing in Chrome and don't have any problems in Chrome. But some of the editor options don't seem to be working in Internet Explorer and just hang there indefinitely with the Loading animation or won't respond to button clicks. For example, when adding a block with the block construction assistant it Previews fine in the overlay box but hangs with the Loading animation after clicking the Use button. I either have to click outside of the overlay or click the Cancel button to clear it, and then no code is inserted in the editor. The comcode tag assistant does the same thing. The 'Add a page-link' assistant lets me select a page link, but the 'Enter the caption' box doesn't respond to either Okay or Cancel button clicks. However, the comcode quote tag and comcode box tag options correctly respond to the Cancel button click but don't respond to the Okay button click. The comcode codebox tag option doesn't work as well.

  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.
