When I view the profile of a user that has no activity, my activity is displayed in their activity tab after about 30 seconds.

For example, picking an arbitrary user with no activity:

Then after about 30 seconds:

Note that even if I just went to their profile tab, looked at it for 30 seconds and then went to the activity tab my activity would already be there.

While that is reproducible, I'm fairly sure I've also had a couple of situations when its happened with users that have had a lot of activity, but I can't reproduce that.

Do you have a Samsung Galaxy S / Galaxy S II ? If so, why not check out my ScreenFree FM Radio .

Hmm. I might add to this report (as they may be somewhat related) that I have noticed (here on ocPortals site) sometimes when viewing my personal topics my list f PT's has randomly disappeared temporarily. It usually reappears later when I return but just incase they are somewhat related I'd thought I'd add a report to this.

We haven't updated the ocportal.com code in a while (it's pre v8-gold I think), so it may be a bit buggy in places – particularly member profiles have had a lot of work since this version of the code.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

temp1024's ;).

I didn't look at the "disappearing inbox" thingy. Because the tabs have been rewritten in newer versions and others aren't reporting it I didn't think it worth investigating – I appreciate the feedback though.
