[solved] localhost using AMPPS

I tried to run the upgrade thingie in the admin panel of my dev site on localhost and was confronted with a request for FTP details, uhmmmm, it's localhost, there are no FTP details to give it so of course the update failed!

Is it possible to update a test site on localhost or do I have to install a fresh site every time there is an update?

One easy way to do it is download the upgrade file instead of entering the address to it in the upgrader. Then just extract it in the folder you have it in on your localhost.
