Has anyone else come across the below error when attempting to utilize the "Investigate User" tool under Admin> Zone>Tools>Members:

PHP WARNING [2] Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in sources/lookup.php on line 120 (version: 9.0.8, PHP version: 5.2.17, URL: /adminzone/admin_lookup.htm?param=XXX.XX.XXX.XXX

The "XXX.XX.XXX.XXX" is the IP address being queried, but I have removed it for the purpose of posting publicly…

It does this with any IP address entered into the search box, so thinking it is a set up issue, just not sure what to do to correct it…any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks much,

Rick

Yes, this was a bug in the version you're on. I've just applied the fix, sorry for the inconvenience.

  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

I'm not sure if this is the same error, but this happens when I try to investigate IP's from the User's Online page (running version 9.0.9).

Hi Chris,

Yes, that linked me to this page…
9.0.9 - ocPortal.com

But I'm not seeing it listed there :\

Thanks!

Hmm, that's odd because the error message says you're on 9.0.8, but that was the 9.0.9 list of bugs.

Anyway, this is the fix:

Yeah, I guess threre is a reason for your confusion. The first report was by Florida_Owl (9.0.8), and the second report was by Ennea (9.0.9).

So you are being given the benefit of the doubt, and no points deducted …!!

 :o

Take my advice. I'm not using it!

My error message said "version: 9.0.9", the OP is/was on 9.0.8. ;)

I'll try that fix, although I'm wondering if it's still usable since it was made for a previous version?

Edit: Fletch beat me to it

Ergh, so it is kind of the same error.

If you go to /adminzone/?page=admin_stats I think it will then magically work because that'll trigger the stats module to auto-upgrade, and the lookup is using the stats module's table (which has changed).
