Thanks for the report. Please bear with us. We've just released the first release in a few months, and there seem to be a few teething problems.

Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Hi,

We actually just re-released 9.0.7, around the time you posted. Unfortunately I had a power outage right at the end of the upload. It is possible that this left an incomplete file on the server.

I just ran a test on a completely clean quick install, and it went okay.

Is there still a problem, if you re-download?

I am happy to do the install for you if you still have issues, just email me at chris@ocportal.com.

Hi Donal,

Another user reported a similar problem in a support ticket and has provided access for us to get the install finished, so I expect we will be updating the installer later today once we've worked out what this is.

Installers just updated.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

This issue affected all users who did not already have a .htaccess file in the install directory, and was caused by a change to our ocPortal downloader code in 9.0.7.
