Hi Bob, I'm not 100% sure why the fact that OCPortal is successful is relevant to the book title. It sounds a bit arrogant, to be honest. How about: ocPortal Explained: A Step-by-Step Guide (to Building Your Website) (2 options) or ocPortal Start to Finish: How to Create and Manage Your Website or Teach Yourself ocPortal: Easily Build Any Website You Can Imagine or any combination of the 3, course. |

That's why I like putting things to the community for consideration and feedback. I rather like ocPortal Explained: A Step-by-Step Guide to Building Your Website. I really love the sound bite of ocPortal Start to Finish but, since I think that we should end up with a second book dealing with the really advanced programming features and stuff, this may be an inaccurate statement. What do others think (or suggest)? Bob |

I rather like those two. Ending with ocPortal seems like an idea - this way you don't pre-confuse(?) people with the word ocPortal, as you've already outlined what it does in the title. More ideas: A Step-by-Step Guide to Building Your Website With ocPortal Creating a Website From Start to Finish With ocPortal (This addresses Bob's concern of leaving room for an advanced book, as it's the start to finish of creating a website (singular), not the start to finish of ocPortal itself.) |

Makes me believe the book is aimed at the higher skill levels of designers, developers, and webmasters.

The title should reflect both who we are trying to pull in and what the book is trying to accomplish.

I really like this although I think it might benefit from sholzy's suggestion that that we blur the bottom so that a site "emerges". Would you have any interest in undertaking the duties for providing the lead on book design/layout? I think you could be a real assset here. Bob |
