Withdrawing?

Was looking through the ocBank addon, and realized something..no idea how to withdraw my points...
I stored about 1k points on my site in the bank..over a month ago now and no idea how to retrieve those points...

My thought was...if it was a bank.shouldn't it operate like a bank? Store money (points) and withdraw when you need??

I think maybe the bankers took your money in bonuses.

Just a joke, taking a look ;)

Hi,

This is the first time I've looked at this addon myself actually :).

It's more of a fixed-term/fixed-rate investment than your normal current account with a bank. You make an investment, and you get it back with your return, after 30 days.

For that to work you need the ocPortal scheduler set up (cron_bridge.php). The scheduler keeps looking to see what is due to be returned.

It'd be really cool if the addon was extended to support multiple investment products – e.g. a 2-year investment. That'd give people an extra incentive to stick around in the community, especially if there were nice emails sent out when the investment has matured. Even cooler would be if the addon automatically marketed to people who had recently been earning points, trying to get them to take out investments. That'd be a really cool way to increase community engagement, add some fun, and again ensure people keep coming back.
So maybe some developer would like to move the addon forward some day :).

No reaction to what looks like a great idea for creating "sticky" members?

Cheers,

I'll test it; Looks like a great idea for someone to develop more.
