As the enterprise version of ocPortal is no longer being actively deployed (*), I thought we'd make the additional enterprise features of this version available to all.

Attachment
» Download: ent.zip (54 Kb, 688 downloads so far)

To install, simply upload these into your existing installation.

These files are not supported officially, but if you find any problems please report them.

New features include:
  • LDAP support [OCF-only]
  • Welcome mails (set up as many member "Welcome mails" as you like, sent out automatically to each member that joins) [OCF-only]
  • SSL support
  • Support tickets
  • The collaboration zone, which includes a simple file manager
  • Better Comcode-XML support

* The enterprise version of ocPortal wasn't designed to sell for a higher price. Instead, it was designed as a place to put features for businesses that would likely be considered 'bloat' by most users. When we were making an ocPortal deployment for a business we would choose which of these additional features to deploy on a per-customer basis.

Hi Chris! Thanx for releasing these features, much appreciated. A quick question for you: when clicking on Support Tickets in Setup, I receive the following:

Code

A template file is missing: SUPPORT_TICKET_TYPE_PAGE (ocPortal version: 3.1.0, PHP version: 4.3.9, URL: /adminzone/index.php?page=admin_tickets&type=misc)

I looked in the template folder in the package, but it's empty. Did I miss something in my installation?

TIA!
Todd

Also, while hovering over the 'Support Tickets' option in the AdminZone, it says that each ticket is stored as a Forum topic. I'm assuming OCF is required for this module, or can it create the topic on the Invision Board?

Before you use the Admin Zone ticket interface, load up the site:ticket module once, to force it to install itself.
OCF isn't required, it uses the same forum integration as content commenting - you can define the storage forum in the configuration :).

I deleted all of the categories for the tickets, and I'm getting the same error as I did before (see above).

I tried doing what you said Chris, but it's not working this time. :P

Hi,

No, we don't have any plans to do this.

The features discussed in this topic were moved into v4 as normal features, which is something that v4's improved modularity allowed us to do without creating 'bloat'.

If companies do want new features making we can do it, it just wouldn't involve an enterprise version.
