For a site that offers a lot of downloads... It would be nice to also have "Related" items of the download on its page.

Become a fan of ocPortal on Facebook or add me as a friend. Add me on on Twitter.
Was I helpful?
  • If not, please let us know how we can do better (please try and propose any bigger ideas in such a way that they are fundable and scalable).
  • If so, please let others know about ocPortal whenever you see the opportunity.
  • If my reply is too Vulcan or expressed too much in business-strategy terms, and not particularly personal, I apologise. As a company & project maintainer, time is very limited to me, so usually when I write a reply I try and make it generic advice to all readers. I'm also naturally a joined-up thinker, so I always express my thoughts in combined business and technical terms. I recognise not everyone likes that, don't let my Vulcan-thinking stop you enjoying ocPortal on fun personal projects.
  • If my response can inspire a community tutorial, that's a great way of giving back to the project as a user.

Nobody should directly look forward to anything on the tracker, it's not a roadmap because we have no idea what work is going to be able to come out of paid projects. But people can sponsor it, or contribute the code themselves if they are able to.

I still look forward to it….whether ocProducts implements it or I get help from a third party.

I was thinking about the tags myself. I'm pretty much code illiterate, but want to try a few things.

Edit: I also was aware of the date you entered it in, so I'm not expecting it soon either. Just glad YOU put it in there yourself.

I just wish I had a budget to sponsor some of those feature requests in the tracker. If I didn't need to buy a $500+ film scanner capable of scanning 4x5s, I could have used that money. Plus I need to buy IT8 targets and, probably better scanning software so I can do the color correction while scanning.

Once I get the site launched, I hope to find a way to monetize something from the site so that I can sponsor some of these feature requests.
